Two conferences – same to show: the first editorial usecase of the new Thinglink VR tool. Ulla Engeström, Thinglink’s CEO, was speaking at Mobile Journalism Conference MojoCon in Dublin while Martin Heller, Head of Video Innovations WELTN24 and IntoVR-founder, was presenting in Berlin at Axel Springers „FacebookMasters“.
WeltN24 is editorial partner in Thinglinks new Virtual Reality tool that allows publishers to tag 360-degree-videos with additional editorial content like text, photos, videos, URLs etc.

The Thinglink VR tool could also beeing used for new forms of advertising in 360-degree-videos. Either as a innovative kind of VR storytelling in content marketing or using links for selling products e.g. via affiliate marketing.

The first editorial use oft he new tool is an interactive story about Stanford University as motor of Silicon Valley by VR director Martin Heller that will be published soon at WELT and N24. It was developed during Martins visit in SF Bay area as part of „Axel Springer Silicon Valley Fellowship“ in february/march 2016.
IntoVR’s Newsblog will post when the Stanford VR project is launched at WELTN24. Follow us on Twitter, Facebook and Youtube.
An einer ähnlichen Art des interaktiven Storytellings versucht sich jetzt auch Veer.TV, wir testen das Tool hier gerade:
